At least four people were injured in another massive Russian drone attack on a densely populated area of the Ukrainian administrative center of Kharkiv, the State Emergency Services (SES) reported on Telegram early on May 6, posting photos of the aftermath.
According to Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the enemy launched 20 Shahed attack drones overnight, targeting the Shevchenkivskyi, Kyivskyi, Kholodnohirskyi, and Industrialnyi districts of the city.
"For two hours Kharkiv was under massive attack by enemy combat drones," he wrote. Eight locations were hit, including the Barabashovo Market, one of the largest in Ukraine, which caught fire from debris from a downed drone.
A private house, a restaurant, and numerous cars across Kharkiv also caught fire.
Emergency operations are underway to eliminate the aftermath of the attack.
That same night, a drone strike killed one person in the Ukrainian city of Odesa.
