Ukraine races to fix power grid after Russian strikes

Rolling power outages and restrictions on industrial consumers and businesses are in effect across most Ukrainian regions from midnight to 11:59 p.m.

In Kharkiv Oblast, Russian airstrikes damaged critical infrastructure, prompting emergency power cuts. Boiler houses were de-energized, suspending Lozova’s heat supply. An explosion was also reported outside Kharkiv on Tuesday morning, while the Ukrainian Air Force issued an alert in response to a potential ballistic missile launch from Russia’s Kursk Oblast.

In Odesa Oblast, Russian drone strikes damaged civilian energy and transport infrastructure, sparking fires at several facilities.
