On the outskirts of Kherson, a large-scale fire broke out in an open area due to Russian shelling, engulfing almost the entire city in smoke, the Kherson Regional Government press center reported on Telegram on Aug. 10.
The fire broke out outside Kherson and, due to strong winds, the smoke spread rapidly.
The situation is further complicated by the high probability that the areas affected by the fire may be mined, according to Roman Mrochko, head of the Kherson Military Administration.
