King Charles congratulates Ukraine on Independence Day, honoring national resolve

In his message, the King hailed Ukraine’s indomitable national spirit and steadfast determination, stating that it evokes profound admiration in the United Kingdom and around the world.
“Both my wife and I are so pleased to be able to extend to you and to the people of Ukraine our heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of your Independence Day."
"As we reflect upon Ukraine’s proud history, rich culture, and indomitable national spirit, we are reminded of the extraordinary fortitude Ukrainians have shown in defending their homeland and preserving the identity and values which define your nation. Such steadfast determination continues to command profound admiration throughout the United Kingdom and around the world."
"I remain greatly encouraged by the enduring friendship between our nations and by the close bonds which [unite our] peoples."
"My wife and I send our sincere and special wishes to you and to all Ukrainians for the possibility of peace, security, and prosperity in the year ahead,” the message from His Majesty read.
Several European leaders arrived in Kyiv on August 24, including European Council President António Costa, Luxembourg Prime Minister Luc Frieden, Moldovan President Maia Sandu, Estonian President Alar Karis, and British Prime Minister Andy Burnham, which marked his first foreign trip since taking office.
