Russia’s Foreign Ministry summoned Armenian
ambassador Gurgen Arsenyan to protest Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy
being welcomed in Yerevan for the recent European Political Community summit,
the ministry said on May 7.
The ministry said Zelenskyy made “terrorist threats” against Russia during his remarks at the event. Earlier on May 7, Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan said his
country is not an ally of Russia when it comes to the war in Ukraine. He also
said he will not attend the May 9 parade in Moscow because he is occupied with
his election campaign.
