Istanbul could host the next round of trilateral Ukraine-U.S.-Russia peace talks, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, said on March 11, according to Russian propaganda agencies.

Peskov claimed that all participants in the negotiations are reportedly “positive” about holding the meeting in Istanbul. However, no specific date or location has been finalized.

The “circumstances do not allow” the talks to continue in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

On March 10, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that a new round of trilateral talks was planned in Turkey in the coming days. The United States, however, proposed postponing the meeting until next week.
