This was reported by Russia’s state-run propaganda agency,
RIA Novosti.
“This is the clearest example of the quality of information
that is sometimes published even in fairly respected outlets,” Peskov said. “It
is completely untrue. It is pure fiction. This is simply false information.”
Peskov added that there are allegedly no specific plans for
contacts between Putin and Trump at the moment. He also said that no
preparations are underway for meetings between the Russian dictator and Western
leaders, as Moscow has not received any signals regarding such talks.
On Nov. 10, The Washington Post reported that Trump spoke
with Putin on Nov. 7. This was their first phone conversation since Trump’s
victory in the U.S. presidential elections.
According to the newspaper, during the call, the future U.S.
president advised Putin to avoid escalating the war in Ukraine and reminded him
of Washington’s significant military presence in Europe.
Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Kyiv was
not notified about the Trump-Putin phone call.
