The next round of talks between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations may take place after June 22, Kremlin's dictator Vladimir Putin claimed during the June 18 press conference, according to propaganda agency Interfax.
"Our negotiating groups are in contact with each other. I just asked Medinsky (the head of the Russian delegation - ed.), and he said that he spoke with his counterpart in Kyiv today. In principle, they agree to meet after June 22," Putin said.
Putin made this statement the day after the June 17 devastating Russian attack on the Ukrainian capital that killed 28 people and injured 140 others.
Earlier, in an interview with Bild on June 12, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia is only engaging in talks with Ukraine to avoid tougher Western sanctions.
