Kyiv couple creates 3D-printed drone shells and components for military

Before joining PrintArmy, Natalia and her family helped in other ways, like making trench candles and raising money for soldiers in hospitals. "We wanted to do more, something that could help our army," Natalia said.

The family joined PrintArmy through her husband's colleague, who was already printing supplies while abroad.

Natalia prints a variety of items, including holders, adapters, and models, to aid Ukrainian defenders.

"PrintArmy makes training models and combat items, and we realized that each of us can help save lives by contributing," she explained.

"I tell my husband, let's print something that can reduce casualties."

The printer in their apartment runs non-stop, powered by an inverter to ensure it operates during power outages.

Natalia said some people operate up to 20 printers, and many others work on PrintArmy projects abroad, in places like Poland, Germany, and Lithuania.

However, legal restrictions in some countries prevent printing certain items, such as weapon-like objects.

Natalia and her husband also serve as curators, checking other printers’ work to ensure quality.

She noted that anyone with a 3D printer can join PrintArmy, and those without one can help by donating.
