Zelenskyy: Pressure Russia into ceasefire and Ukraine will help with Iranian drones

In a phone interview, the president told Bloomberg that after four years of full-scale war, Ukraine has unique experience intercepting drones, many of them Iranian-designed Shahed models, that Tehran has used against the UAE, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.

“I would suggest the following: leaders of the Middle East have great relations with Russians,” said Zelenskyy.

“They can ask Russians to implement a month-long ceasefire … we will send our best operators of drone interceptors to the Middle East countries.”

Bloomberg noted that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin held a series of phone calls with leaders of Persian Gulf countries hit by Iranian attacks, including Bahrain, the UAE, and Qatar. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia "remains in constant contact with the Iranian leadership."
