All Russian Shahed drones intercepted in extended air raid on Kyiv, officials report

The air alert in the city lasted for over nine hours with the first drones started to approach Kyiv from the southern and eastern directions before midnight. 

“All drones that threatened the capital were neutralized,” the statement said.

Most of them attacked individually rather than in groups, triggering air raid alerts in most of Ukraine's southern, northern, eastern, central and partially western oblasts. 

Explosions were reported in Zhytomyr and Kyiv oblasts, as well as in the neighboring Belarusian Gomel Oblast.
