The city authorities approved a work plan for technical inspections of buildings and structures damaged by military actions, with KyivExpertiza municipal enterprise having been tasked with conducting these assessments.
Based on the inspections, technical reports and official documentation are prepared.
"The work plan indicates that as of now (July 1), 1,609 residential buildings in Kyiv have been damaged," the administration wrote.
"In accordance with the order of the Kyiv City Military Administration… 41 multi-apartment residential buildings that sustained significant damage are being restored using the city budget."
The project owner of the reconstruction work, the Zhytloinvestbud-UKB municipal enterprise reported that repairs on 25 residential buildings have been completed.
Restoration work is ongoing on another 16 buildings.
Additionally, repairs were carried out in 2022 on 212 multi-apartment buildings where windows, doors, and roofs were damaged in Russian attacks. These repairs — including the replacement of damaged window and door units and roof repairs — were funded by the state budget’s reserve fund.
As of July 1, 2025, a total of 342 privately owned properties in Kyiv have also been damaged due to combat actions, the officials reported.
Overnight on July 4, Russia launched a massive drone and ballistic missile attack on Kyiv. Falling debris and fires were recorded in several districts of the capital. At least 23 people were injured.
Emergency services are now working to eliminate the consequences of the latest massive Russian attack in five districts.
Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russia launched a record-breaking 550 aerial weapons during the strike. Air defense forces intercepted 478 of them.
