NATO’s press service previously announced that Sweden, Norway, and Denmark will fund $500 million in U.S. arms deliveries to Ukraine. Denmark has committed about DKK580 million ($91 million), Sweden $275 million and Norway NOK1.5 billion ($147 million). The funding will go toward purchasing arms in the United States through the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA).

On Aug. 4, Ukraine’s Defense Ministry announced the United States and NATO launched a new support vehicle for Ukraine aid — the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL). It allows NATO members and partners to finance deliveries of U.S. weapons to Kyiv through voluntary contributions.

Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) Gen. Alexis Grinkevich said NATO would send military aid packages to Ukraine “as quickly as possible.”
