Lithuanian
military instructors aim to train 3,500 Ukrainian soldiers and officers in
2024, national broadcaster LRT reported on Dec. 20, citing the Lithuanian
military.
The Lithuanian army trained 2,900 Ukrainian troops this year.
The training programs are designed to teach the Ukrainian servicemen how to manage and maintain supplied weaponry and equipment, as well as to provide education for commanders and military specialists across various fields.
On Dec. 20, Lithuania delivered a new shipment of military assistance to Ukraine, including field gear and tens of thousands of rations.
Additionally, Lithuania is preparing a batch of Leopard-2 tanks to be sent to Ukraine after refurbishing them. These tanks were previously brought from combat zones within Ukraine.
