Explosions shake occupied Crimea amid suspected drone attack - video

Locals report hearing loud explosions in occupied Crimea, Crimean Wind Telegram channel wrote on April 28.

Residents have reported hearing explosions and air defense in Sevastopol, Feodosia, Dzhankoy, and near Kacha and Saki airfields.

The so-called Sevastopol governor Mikhail Razvozhaev confirmed the information about a drone attack, and claimed that local air defense intercepted “three targets on the North side and in Balaklava district.”

Occupation authorities were yet to provide information on the attack aftermath.

On April 26, Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) reported that Ukrainian forces struck a Russian naval base and Belbek Airfield in occupied Sevastopol on the night of April 26, damaging the following facilities:

  • The Yamal Ropucha-class project 775 large landing ship
  • The Filchenkov Tapir-class project 1171 large landing ship
  • The Ivan Khurs Yury Ivanov–class reconnaissance ship
  • The Lukomka BSF Training Center
  • A Russian Air Defense Forces radio technical intelligence headquarters
  • An MR-10M1 Mys-M1 coastal radar station
  • A MiG-31 interceptor aircraft
  • Belbek Airfield’s maintenance section

Razvozhaev acknowledged the strikes and claimed that Ukrainian forces conducted one of the largest strike campaigns on Sevastopol, launching at least 71 drones overnight.
