Odesa regional military governor Oleh Kiper subsequently confirmed that drone debris struck the roof of a nine-story apartment building, with the resulting fire spreading to parked vehicles nearby. Two people were preliminarily reported injured.
The threat to Odesa remains active, Lysak added. Ukraine's Air Force warned of additional groups of attack drones approaching from the Black Sea toward the Odesa and Mykolaiv oblasts.
Russia's mass attack on May 13
Russia launched a mass drone offensive against Ukraine on the morning of May 13, with drones flying predominantly westward. Explosions were reported in Kyiv, and the Khmelnytskyi, Chernivtsi, Mykolaiv, Zhytomyr, Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk and other oblasts.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had warned of additional drone attack waves throughout the day. Ukraine's military intelligence warned that Russia launched a prolonged combined air attack against Ukraine on May 13, with a large-scale drone barrage designed to overwhelm air defenses ahead of a planned missile strike.
