The United Kingdom has finalized a deal with American tech company Anduril to provide loitering drones to Ukraine, enhancing the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ ability to counter Russian aggression, The Times reported on March 6.

The agreement is valued at 30 million pounds (roughly $38 million).

U.K. Defense Secretary John Healey visited Anduril’s Washington headquarters before meeting U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

The International Fund for Ukraine, managed by Britain, will procure Altius-600m and Altius-700m drones from Anduril. These drones are designed to monitor areas before striking targets.

“We are determined to achieve a secure, lasting peace in Ukraine, which means putting Ukraine in the strongest possible position to prevent any return to Russian aggression,” Healey said after the deal was signed.

The agreement will equip Ukraine’s forces with advanced attack drones to tackle Russian aggression in the Black Sea. Ukraine will receive the drones, launchers, and spare parts in the coming months, The Times writes.
