Oleksandr Tsukerman, a businessman involved in the Midas Case corruption scandal, has filed a lawsuit against President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for imposing personal sanctions against him on May 15, according to Ukraine’s official judiciary portal.

Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak pointed out the filing on May 21.

“Ooooh, Shugerman (aka Tsukerman) also decided to follow Mindich’s example... and filed a suit against the president; he says sanctions are bad. P.S. These are the president’s friends,” Zheleznyak wrote in a Telegram post.

Tsukerman’s suit was filed a day after his businessman associate, Tymur Mindich, submitted a similar complaint. Mindich asked the court to declare illegal and cancel President Zelenskyy’s Nov. 13, 2025, decree No. 843/2025 that imposed sanctions against him, according to court records. Mindich later told Ukrainska Pravda he filed because he disputes the accusations against him, saying, “I am accused of things I did not do.”
