Drone explodes in Moldova after crossing border during Russian attack on Ukraine

The military said it detected the drone crossing the border at about 12:20 a.m. during a Russian attack on Ukraine. The drone was headed toward the settlements of Mihailovca and Lopatna.
The drone’s wreckage was later found, and traces at the scene indicate that an explosion occurred, the ministry said.
Specialists are continuing to examine the wreckage to determine the drone’s origin and the circumstances of the incident.
Overnight, Russia attacked Ukraine with 155 strike drones. Ukraine’s air defenses neutralized 124 Russian drones over the country’s north, south and east, the Ukrainian Air Force said.
An attack on Odesa city and oblast, which borders Moldova, was also reported. In southern Odesa Oblast, Russian drones hit an energy facility.
