Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) and National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) announced they have uncovered a large-scale corruption scheme in the energy sector in the statement on Telegram, published on Nov. 10.

"After 15 months of work and analysis of 1,000 hours of audio recordings, investigators documented the activities of a 'high-level criminal organization'," officials wrote.

NABU said scheme participants built extensive influence, including over Energoatom - Ukraine's National Atomic Energy company.

The Bureau said more details will be provided later.

Earlier on Nov. 10, NV's sister outlet Ukrainska Pravda reported that NABU conducted searches involving businessman Tymur Mindich — a co-owner of the Kvartal 95 studio and a longtime associate of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The outlet reported that Mindich left Ukraine a few hours before the searches.

Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak also reported searches at the Justice Minister, at former Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko, and at Energoatom.
