NATO is still discussing whether to protect Ukrainian skies from Russian missiles, Polish President Andrzej Duda said at a Kyiv press conference on Aug. 24, according to the President's Office.

Polish President Andrzej Duda said NATO remains focused on defense, noting ongoing discussions about protecting Ukrainian skies with military means from individual NATO members.

He highlighted debates within the Alliance about red lines concerning this protection.

Duda mentioned previous Polish proposals to intercept Russian missiles threatening NATO countries and noted that Russian missiles have breached NATO airspace in the past.
