According to Dutch outlet WNL, Brekelmans made the statement just before the Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting in Brussels.
The minister added that the vessels are equipped with weapons, sensors, and communication systems particularly useful to special forces. The ministry also said the Netherlands is contributing EUR20 million towards training Ukrainian marines at a training center in Romania.
Some components of the aid package have already been delivered to Ukraine, and shipments will continue through 2026.
On May 26, Dutch Defense Ministry announced that the final batch of F-16 fighter jets destined for Ukraine had left the Netherlands.
To date, the Netherlands has transferred 24 F-16s to Ukraine.
