Ukraine's state budget received a $1.1 billion tranche from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) following the successful fifth review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program, Finance Ministry wrote on Oct. 23.

Ukraine has received more than $11.3 billion from the IMF since the start of the full-scale invasion. As of October 2024, the IMF is Ukraine's third-largest financial supporter, following the EU and the US.

"For 2025, the IMF EFF program now allocates up to $2.7 billion through four reviews, up from the initial $1.8 billion under two reviews," the ministry noted.

"Over 19 months of the EFF program, Ukraine has successfully completed five reviews — the first time in its history of cooperation with the IMF. This has allowed the country to secure around $8.7 billion out of the $15.6 billion set by the program."

Ukraine will receive four tranches from the IMF in 2025, instead of the initially planned two.

Ukraine received $2.2 billion from the IMF in July.
