No Ukrainians aboard passenger plane that crashed in India — Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry

Updated at 2 p.m. — The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not confirmed the presence of any Ukrainians on board Air India flight AI171, the ministry told NV.
Earlier, the Ministry had stated that it was investigating whether Ukrainian citizens were on the flight that crashed in western India.
Air India confirmed in a statement that flight AI171, which was traveling to London’s Gatwick Airport, was carrying 242 passengers and crew members on board a Boeing 787-8. The passengers included 169 Indian citizens, 53 British citizens, one Canadian citizen, and seven Portuguese citizens, according to The Guardian.
The flight crashed at Ahmedabad airport shortly after takeoff. Indian news channel News18 reported that at least 30 people were killed, and the injured are being taken to hospitals. A fire broke out at the crash site.
