North Korea has shipped more than six thousand containers carrying millions of munitions to Russia since July, South Korean Defense Minister Shin Won-sik said, Sky News reported.

“6,700 containers sent from North Korea to Russia might have included more than 3 million 152mm artillery shells, or 500,000 122mm rounds,” he said.

"It could possibly be a mix of the two, and you can say that at least several million shells have been sent," the minister added.

“Despite hundreds of North Korean munitions factories running at around 30% of their capacity due to a lack of raw materials and electricity, those producing artillery shells for Russia were operating ‘at full swing’,” Won-sik said.
