Russian forces struck and destroyed a Nova Poshta sorting center in Kryvyi Rih, regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha reported on July 7.

He did not explicitly name the Nova Poshta center, but the target was identifiable in published photographs.

Head of the Kryvyi Rih Security Council Oleksandr Vilkul stated that Russian forces struck “a civilian facility belonging to a logistics company” using jet-powered drones.

“The strike caused a large-scale fire. All emergency services were deployed to the scene,” he said.

“The risk of the fire spreading to nearby buildings was contained. Despite the large surface area of the fire, it was contained by 6:25 a.m.”

“The enemy attacked the city in the morning, damaging a Nova Poshta sorting center,” the company wrote in its statement.

“Fortunately, none of our employees were harmed seeing as, during the time of the attack, they were taking cover in air raid shelters set up within the logistics facility.”

“Details on the extent of the damage to the cargo will be determined shortly.”

“We will compensate clients for the lost shipments. Nova Poshta, as always, takes full responsibility and compensates customers for 100% of the declared value of shipments damaged as a result of the attacks,” the postal service company stated.

“We will contact the owner of each damaged parcel directly to process payments. Customers can also submit a compensation request through our national call center,” Nova Poshta wrote.
