The cargo charter flight, from Budapest to Chișinău on a Boeing 737-800, took place on Nov. 10, fulfilling an order from Nova Global.
"This flight allowed us to refine and test the synchronization of procedures and processes for parcel and cargo delivery to recipients in Moldova," the company explained.
The next step involves testing cargo delivery to Ukraine by road transport.
Supernova Airlines aims to expand its route network and gradually increase the number of flights to meet the needs of both NOVA group companies (including Nova Post) and external clients. The company is also preparing to launch regular flights to the U.S., with operational permits for flights to America in process.
Founded in 2021 by entrepreneurs Volodymyr Poperechnyuk and Vyacheslav Klymov, Supernova Airlines completed its first flight in May 2023 on the Riga–Rzeszów–Riga route in collaboration with the Latvian airline RAF-Avia, using an ATR 72 aircraft.
In October 2024, Nova Post entered the Dutch market, marking the 16th country for the company. Also in October, Supernova Airlines received a permit from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for flights within Europe (Part-TCO certification).
Additionally, the company obtained permission from Ukraine’s State Aviation Service to operate regular flights to Lviv and Kyiv, enabling flights as soon as Ukrainian airspace reopens.
At the beginning of 2024, Nova Post rebranded as NOVA. Founded in 2001, the company’s co-owners are Vyacheslav Klymov and Volodymyr Poperechnyuk.
