Ukraine's demand for used cars declines - 14,700 vehicles registered in November

This figure represents a nearly 30% drop compared to November 2023 and a 10% decline from September 2024.
Gasoline-powered cars dominated the market, accounting for 46% of registrations. Other categories included diesel cars (26%), electric vehicles (20%), LPG-powered cars (4%), and hybrids (4%).
The most popular imported used car remained the Volkswagen Golf, with 873 units registered in November. Other top models included:
- Renault Megane: 609 units
- Skoda Octavia: 520 units
- Volkswagen Passat: 419 units
- Volkswagen Tiguan: 399 units
- Nissan Leaf: 384 units
- Audi Q5: 376 units
- Tesla Model 3: 301 units
- Tesla Model Y: 298 units
- Nissan Rogue: 293 units.
The average age of imported used cars was 9 years.
Year-to-Date Numbers
From January to November 2024, 207,000 used cars were registered in Ukraine, marking an 8% increase from the same period in 2023.
Comparison with New Cars
In November 2024, Ukrainians purchased over 5,200 new cars, a 3% decrease compared to November 2023.
This downward trend in used car registrations comes amidst a broader slowdown in vehicle sales, reflecting shifting market dynamics as the year ends.
