At 11:22 a.m., Kryvyi Rih was under a Russian ballistic missile attack, Vilkul reported, saying, “Kryvyi Rih. Explosions. Missile attack. Ballistics. Take care of yourselves — more launches are possible.”
At 10:28 a.m., Vilkul reported explosions in Kryvyi Rih as Russia continued attacking the city with drones.
“The city has been under Shahed attack for ten hours already,” he said.
“We understand everything, everyone is working. Take care of yourselves and your loved ones — there are still Shaheds over the city.”
Earlier, the city defense council head said the Russian attack partially destroyed a one-story private house and started a fire, which was extinguished by morning. A 70-year-old woman was injured and received medical aid.
“The air raid alert is ongoing, so please follow air raid rules,” Vilkul stated.
He also noted that no attacks affected the Kryvyi Rih district. However, the aggressor attacked the Nikopol district and Pokrovske municipality with drones. No casualties were reported there.
Around 3 a.m., Ukraine’s Air Force warned of enemy UAVs in southern Dnipropetrovsk Oblast heading toward Kryvyi Rih.
Later, air defenders reported drones approaching Kryvyi Rih from the south.
In the morning, the Air Force warned that Russian drones were nearing the city from the south.
Overnight into Jan. 21, Russian forces struck Kryvyi Rih with missiles, damaging 11 apartment buildings, 11 private homes, administrative buildings, a House of Culture, educational and sports facilities, a business site, garages and vehicles.
