A gunman opened fire at a café in central Kyiv and fled the
scene, leaving one patron injured, city police reported on Jan. 28.
The incident was reported at 4:20 p.m.
According to law enforcement, a conflict arose between a 68-year-old patron and other individuals at the establishment. During the argument, one participant fired several shots at the elderly man. Preliminary information suggests that the weapon used was a less-lethal firearm.

The suspect fled the scene and is currently being sought by police.
The victim was hospitalized with minor injuries, which are not life-threatening.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident and deciding on the legal qualification of the case.
