A man's body was discovered in Tysa River along the Ukraine-Hungary border during a routine patrol, Ukraine's State Border Guard Service reported on Telegram on June 12.
The body was swept ashore by the current. Authorities are working to identify him. State Emergency Service and National Police personnel responded to the scene.
This marks the 35th death reported in Tysa River since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, according to the SBGS.
Border guards previously found a body in Tysa River on May 30, marking the tenth reported death of a man in the river so far in 2024.
