Fires and explosions reported across Crimea amid overnight drone attack

A fire broke out in temporarily occupied Kerch, with separate reports emerging of a suspected strike on an oil depot in Feodosia.

All traffic on the Crimean Bridge was closed following the attacks.

Russian occupation authorities on the peninsula have not yet released information regarding the extent of the damage.

Crimean energy strikes

Ukrainian drones struck an electrical substation in Russian-occupied Feodosia on July 28.

Russian-appointed governor Mikhail Razvozhaev announced on July 27 that Sevastopol would face mandatory power rationing.

A fire broke out at the Tavriiska thermal power plant near occupied Simferopol following an overnight drone attack on July 26. 

Krymenergo, the Russian-controlled regional utility provider, acknowledged that parts of the peninsula lost power due to what it described as "external interference with energy facilities." Outages were reported across the northwestern, eastern, and southern regions of the occupied peninsula.

Ukrainian forces struck 19 energy facilities across occupied territories within 48 hours, 17 of which were located in Crimea, the commander of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces Robert ‘Madyar’ Brovdi reported on July 24.
