The government is working on expanding the list of categories of IDPs who will receive state aid, according to the Ministry of Reintegration.
Proposals for amendments to the resolution approving the procedure for providing assistance for the residence of internally displaced persons (IDPs) have already been developed.
The proposed categories of IDPs entitled to payments include:
- Children placed in the care of foster families, foster parents, or temporarily with relatives, acquaintances, foster families, or family-type children's homes.
- Seriously ill individuals without established disability.
For families with an average monthly total income per recipient not exceeding $354, the proposed eligible groups are:
- Pre-pension age individuals
- Individuals with disabilities of Group III
- Individuals caring for children under 3 years old or those who require care up to the age of 6
- Individuals whose families include children under 18 and/or under 23 who are full-time or dual-form students at vocational, specialized secondary, or higher education institutions.
Additionally, the deadline for submitting applications for reassessment of payments for residence for internally displaced persons is proposed to be extended until April 30, 2024.
Applications for the appointment or reassessment of payments for IDPs should be submitted to all operating Administrative Service Centers (ASCs). The list of communities where applications can only be submitted to the ASC is available at the provided link.
It is important to note that assistance for citizens residing in Ukraine and having the status of internally displaced persons amounts to:
- UAH 3000 ($77) for individuals with disabilities and children
- UAH 2000 ($51) for other individuals.
Money can be received on the 15th and 28th of each month.
