The Ukrainian government must operate more quickly and efficiently during the war, the prime minister said.
“The government has identified specific steps to improve the public administration system,” Koretskyi said in a Telegram post.
“A comprehensive analysis will be conducted to identify duplicated functions, unnecessary processes and opportunities for streamlining.”
The Cabinet also decided to review staffing levels at Ukraine’s central executive bodies, he said.
“We will eliminate unnecessary vacant positions and review the number of deputy ministers and deputy heads of central executive bodies,” the PM added.
“After a detailed analysis, we will determine the objective staffing needs based on the actual scope of the government’s tasks and functions.”
Koretskyi said digitalization would be another key area of focus. The Cabinet will analyze digital governance and the automation of internal processes at central executive bodies, he said.
“The state should not spend time and resources on processes
that can be made faster and simpler with digital tools,” he said.
