The Polish Internal Security Agency, together with the Lublin Office of the National Prosecutor's Office, dismantled the largest Russian intelligence network in Poland in history.
Reportedly, a total of 15 people were detained in the country from March to July 2023 on charges of spying for Russian military intelligence. They face up to 10 years in prison. The detainees are citizens of Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine.
"They received tasks for remote execution directly from Moscow, and then, after completing them, collected remuneration in cryptocurrencies (mostly bitcoin), which they then exchanged for cash," the statement said.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Security Service conducted a large-scale special operation in several regions of Ukraine and detained members of the FSB agent network.
