As a response to the potential deployment of Russian nukes in neighboring Belarus, Poland is willing to host NATO nuclear weapons on its territory, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on June 30, as reported by Polish news outlet Gość.

"We declare our readiness to act swiftly in this regard; we cannot remain idle while Putin escalates various threats," said Morawiecki.

He added that the final decision rests with the United States.

"Due to Russia's intention to station tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus, we urge all of NATO to participate more in the Nuclear Sharing program," Morawiecki declared.

On June 9, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin announced that Russia would start deploying tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus after July 7-8. Putin further claimed on June 16th that Russia had already transported the first nuclear charges into Belarus.

However, Ukrainian Military Intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov stated on June 20 that the Russians had not yet moved tactical nuclear weapons to Belarus.
