Poland’s Foreign Ministry confirmed the report and said the deceased was an employee of a Polish defense firm but not a Polish citizen. The ministry added that all those injured in the attack received consular assistance.
The attack occurred on the morning of July 24, when Russian forces fired three ballistic missiles into Kyiv Oblast. Air defenses intercepted one missile, Ukrainian officials said.
The exhibition showcased modern technologies for Ukraine’s defense sector and drew representatives from across the match sector. Defence24 said the dead man worked for a Polish company; the outlet did not name the firm.
Valeriy Borovyk, founder of Ukrainian defense manufacturer First Contact, told Apostrof TV that the strike hit a private facility where the expo was taking place.
Ukrainian Air Force communications chief Yurii Ihnat later said the facility was a sports complex, not a military training range.
