The blast took place on Plekhanova Street, near building No. 17, where initial reports suggested a car had exploded.
Eyewitnesses claimed to have heard two explosions. The fire spread to an adjacent building, engulfing the facade from the first to the third floor. Ambulances and rescuers were dispatched to the scene.
Updated information clarified that the explosion originated from a diesel boiler housed in a container near the building.
