Prince Harry met with wounded veterans of the Russo–Ukrainian war during his visit to Kyiv on Sept. 12.

He visited the National World War II Museum, where he met the veterans. He arrived with a team from the Invictus Games Foundation, which he started to support injured service members through international competition. Ukrainian veterans have taken part in the Invictus Games since 2017.

Afterward, the prince posed for photos with the veterans outside the museum. According to The Guardian, his visit aims to outline his charity’s rehabilitation plans for wounded military personnel.

Like every other foreign dignitary since February 2022, he traveled to Kyiv by train. Online video also showed the Duke of Sussex paying his respects at the Alley of Remembrance in Independence Square, honoring the country’s fallen soldiers.

This was his second trip to Ukraine. In April, he visited the Superhumans rehabilitation center in Lviv, which cares for wounded service members.
