Ukraine’s Khmelnytskyi Oblast reports power outage and downing of six drones after overnight Russian attack

Several settlements remain without electricity after the Russian drone strike damaged an infrastructure facility in Ukraine’s Khmelnytskyi Oblast overnight, the regional Military Administration reported on Telegram on March 6.

A private house was also damaged. No casualties were reported.

Thirty-eight out of 42 Russian Shahed kamikaze drones were shot down overnight, including six over Khmelnytskyi Oblast, the Ukrainian Air Force reported. Five S-300 missiles were also fired by the enemy from the temporarily occupied Donetsk Oblast.

Earlier in the day, public broadcaster Suspilne reported explosions in Odesa overnight amid a new wave of Russian drone strikes that plunged parts of the southern Ukrainian city into darkness.

Casualties were reported in Ukraine's northeastern Sumy Oblast following the enemy drone attack.

On Mar. 2, twelve people were killed, including five children, after a Russian drone attacked a nine-story building in Odesa.
