In Moscow's Moskino Park, a reconstruction of the installation of the Victory Flag over the Reichstag was opened. For the visuals, 3D models of tanks and other equipment from the 40s were recreated from archival photographs.
The production, initiated by Russian director Igor Ugolnikov, will run for nine days and be used in a film, “Victory Flag”.
For this production, Moskino Film Park built a life-size set of the dilapidated Reichstag.
"This will help to create an atmosphere of realism, complete immersion," said the director.
About 30 units of exhibition and game equipment are involved in the performance, including Yak-3, MiG-3, I-16 aircraft, tanks and an armored personnel carrier made by the German plant Hanomag.
In addition, a copy of the Reichstag wall was built in another Russian city, Grodno, and has already been erected in Chita. There will also be an action "Sign for your grandfather". Citizens will be invited to leave signatures in memory of the war heroes, as Soviet soldiers did in Berlin in 1945.
In the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories, Russians are also preparing for May 9. In particular, the city of Bakhmut, which was completely destroyed by the Russian army, is being covered with propaganda symbols - tricolors, posters and signs dedicated to "80 years of victory."
