The office said reports that Kryvonos had been charged were untrue. It said no one had been served with a notice of suspicion in the criminal proceeding related to Kryvonos because there were no legal grounds to do so.
The Prosecutor General’s Office also said claims that a notice of suspicion had been issued “have no legal meaning.” The office said the corresponding entries in the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations had been canceled.
Earlier the same day, Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko said he had signed a charge sheet accusing Kryvonos of allegedly forging official documents for personal gain.
At a press briefing afterwards, Kryvonos said he had not been served with the notice signed by Kravchenko and that it had not been delivered directly to NABU.
