Tucker Carlson has shown the world that Putin is inadequate, that he lives in a completely parallel reality, and that he is a kind of modern-day St. Petersburg bandit with a cynical view of the world: "I've seized everything, and you Americans are now formalizing it so that everyone will be happy." What is missing in our comments on this interview is a frame-by-frame breakdown, which shows that he lied here, was utterly idiotic here, 95% idiotic here, and 150% idiotic here.
When we talk about assistance from the American Congress, we should do this and show it to the American members of Congress: statement - reaction, statement - reaction. Even those who are under siege from the Trumpists could understand that they are being manipulated.
Carlson is not a journalist in the Western concept of journalism, as everyone has known for a long time. He is a propagandist. However, he helped everyone to see what Putin is in his current form. There is one point that doctors should pay attention to. If you look closely at the way Putin speaks, what he says, and how he looks, he already has the stamp of sadness on him. The seal of sadness is quite close to the end. He reminds me of a tree that has rotted inside. There is already dust inside and outside; some sap still flows through the bark, and even branches appear. But this is the end. It is drying up.
Putin was not doing so well if he was always asking for negotiations
You see, if you look at his physical condition, this is a man who is already gradually walking, although he is still waving his arms and saying something delirious. This is already the end of the comedy. Although Putin seemed quite cheerful to some people, he was at least demonstrating his strength and health, but, you know, this happens right before the end.
For a considerable part of the audience, this interview reinforced doubts about further support for Ukraine. In such cases, you just have to understand that there are tools to influence the audience, including the American audience. CNN hasn't been canceled, and The New York Times and Washington Post are still working. There are plenty of opportunities for President Zelensky to talk to the American audience, and to talk about the topics that Carlson has allegedly been promoting to the American media market through Putin. It is simple to put this in its place - to do this fact-checking, to talk clearly about what is happening. Isn't this a typical countermeasure? Yes, it is. That's why it would be necessary for our diplomatic service to think about such a step.
Since many sane journalists speak English and can easily operate with the correct narratives and historical facts, this can be turned from a threat to us into a threat to Russian propaganda to smear them on the wall and show how primitive and ridiculous it all is.
Still, that many Americans don't know where Ukraine is located, or where Russia is located, let alone the history, is, unfortunately, an objective fact. It's just the way things are. In Europe, thank God, it is better, although not always, and not everywhere.
Putin has long since realized that he will not take Ukraine. I think this has finally sunk into his sick head. That's why he has long been dreaming of negotiations that we will fix what we have now, and at this stage, we will stop. Look at how many times he mentioned Arakhamia, a negotiating team member with Russia, during the interview. Maybe five times. He said he had signed it, and only the evil Boris Johnson ruined it.
Putin ended the interview with: "Let's record what has happened and leave it at that, and for now, we need negotiations." So, I think Putin's main idea is, "Let's think about how to fix what happened." Even though there is no Ukraine, "What can I do? I cannot physically go further than what I have captured; I am not ready, I have no normal weapons, and I am already walking around the world with my hand out to collect shells and missiles; so let's stop here now." This is the central theme and the main idea of this interview.
I think that Putin sent such signals to the White House through Carlson. But, thank God, the entire sane civilized world took it as propaganda. They were also convinced that Putin was not doing so well if he was always asking for negotiations. It means that he realizes that he has nothing to go on, and he is asking for a break. This is also a very serious signal to think about how to proceed.
