Newly obtained procurement documents show that the Russian Armed Forces ordered nearly 4,000 long-range cruise, ballistic, and hypersonic missiles with deliveries between 2024 and 2027, Ukraine’s Militarnyi military news portal reported on Nov. 4.
The total cost over the four-year period is estimated to be around $9 billion, including deliveries of:
- 1,255 Kh-101 cruise missiles (for deep strikes from Tu-95MSM and Tu-160 strategic bombers)
- 450 Kalibr cruise missiles
- 188 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles
- 80 Zircon hypersonic missiles
- 56 3M-14S Kalibr-family cruise missiles with nuclear capability.
The files also record nearly 1,650 missiles for various Iskander systems, including the Iskander-M, Iskander-K, and Iskander-1000.
On Oct. 20, Ukrainian military reported that Russian forces had scaled up production of the Grom-1 bomb-missile, a hybrid of an aerial bomb and the Kh-38 missile with a range of up to 200 kilometers.
