The prosecutor’s office said the young woman began working with Russian intelligence services in 2024 and is originally from Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast. She photographed military vehicles, transmitted screenshots of maps and troop location data via Telegram, and installed remote video surveillance equipment at locations designated by her handlers. Prosecutors said the enemy then used the online intelligence to coordinate strikes on Ukrainian military assets.
Ukraine’s SBU security service said the woman tracked Ukrainian troop movements near Pokrovsk. For that purpose, she installed a video camera below the dome of an ROC temple in the area.
In total, the SBU reported that three enemy agents received 15-year prison sentences for helping Russian forces break through to Pokrovsk. According to the statement, the enemy was most interested in the geolocations of military headquarters, reserve command posts, and the routes used by Ukrainian military equipment to approach the front line—a crucial intelligence package for planning offensive operations.
Other convicted individuals include a 43-year-old resident of Ukrainsk and a 34-year-old employee of Ukrainian Railways from Rodynske.
