Russian forces advanced on two fronts in Donetsk Oblast, the DeepState monitoring group reported on Telegram on July 31.

Maps reveal that Russian troops have made significant progress in Krasnohorivka, near Kurakhove, and around Urozhaine in the Vremivka sector.

DeepState also detailed Russian military movements near Robotyne in Zaporizhzhya Oblast. The maps show that Russian forces are on the outskirts of the town and advancing toward Orikhove.

Russian attempts to advance near the settlements of Krasnohorivka and Paraskoviivka in the Kurakhove sector, as well as in the area of Staromaiorske in the Vremivka sector, are ongoing, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed on July 31. The Pokrovsk sector remains the most active front, with Russian troops launching 40 attacks throughout the day, military sources said. The situation is particularly intense near Novooleksandrivka, Vesele, Ivanivka, Zhelanne, and Yasnobrodivka.

Frontline situation in Donetsk Oblast 

Russian soldiers are attempting to advance on Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, and Selydove in Donetsk Oblast, possibly aiming to seize the "vital highway" to Kostyantynivka, Khortytsia operational-strategic group spokesperson Nazar Voloshyn said on June 6.

The Russian forces intensify their offensive operations in Donetsk Oblast, in particular, their attacks in Toretsk-Horlivka direction, where the occupiers were generally inactive throughout 2024, ISW reported on June 23. Russian troops began an assault on Chasiv Yar from the Toretsk direction.

Ukraine's Defense Forces withdrew from the Kanal microdistrict in Chasiv Yar, Voloshyn reported on July 4.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces had regained some positions south of Toretsk, ISW analysts said on July 18.

The Ukrainian military left the village of Urozhayne in Donetsk Oblast on the same day.

The Russian forces captured the village of Rozdolivka in Donetsk Oblast, the DeepState reported on July 20.

The U.S.-based Institute for the Study of War reported on July 26 that Ukraine repelled a massive Russian mechanized assault near Kurakhove, Donetsk Oblast.

The DeepState monitoring group reported on July 28 that Russian forces advanced in four Ukrainian settlements in Donetsk Oblast.
