Russian forces attacked Odesa and Izmail in Odesa Oblast overnight, hitting residential buildings and triggering fires, local authorities reported on May 1.
Updated at 7:10 a.m.: Odesa Military Administration reported one injured in the overnight attack. A high-rise building in the Khadzhibeysky district was struck. Emergency services are working at the scene.

Updated at 5:00 a.m.: Russian forces attacked port infrastructure in the Izmail district. Local authorities released photos of the aftermath.
Emergency services quickly put out the fires caused by the strike.

The strike set fire to a 16-story building, Odesa Military Administration Head Serhii Lysak reported. A second high-rise building was also struck, causing a fire to break out on the 12th and 13th floors.
Citizens were urged to find shelter and not to ignore the air raid warnings.
