Valentyn Reznichenko said Russia had used Iranian kamikaze strike drones in the attack.
“All eight enemy drones that the enemy sent to the region were shot down. Preliminarily findings are that these were ‘Shaheds,’” he said.
The Russian forces also shelled the communities of Marganets and Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast seven times.
No people were killed or injured in the attacks, but there is damage to the residential sector, Reznichenko said.
Nikopol was the most seriously damaged by the attacks, he said: Up to a dozen private houses, farm buildings and gas pipelines were damaged in the city. Several shops, office buildings and a college were also hit.
In other areas, there were no attacks and the situation remains calm at the moment.
The enemy struck an industrial facility in Kryvyi Rih on Dec. 6. According to Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city’s military administration, the destruction was significant, and one person was injured.
