Russian forces attacked a DTEK energy facility in Ukraine’s Odesa Oblast overnight on Nov. 7, the company reported.
The strike caused significant damage, and repairs will take time, DTEK said in a statement.
Power engineers have restored electricity to all homes affected by the attack using backup networks, the company added. Repair crews will begin restoration work once they receive clearance from the military and emergency services.
Earlier on Nov. 7, the Odesa Regional Military Administration confirmed that Russian forces targeted the region’s energy infrastructure overnight, sparking fires.
Ukraine’s Air Force reported that Russia launched 128 Shahed drones across the country during the night, with air defenses destroying 94 of them. Strikes were recorded at 11 locations, where 31 drones hit their targets.
