Russia launched several ballistic missiles at Kyiv shortly after 11 p.m. on Aug. 5, Kyiv City Administration reported.

According to the message, all incoming missiles were intercepted by air defenses in and around the capital.

Initial assessments suggested the city suffered no damage in the attack.

Given that the three explosions were heard over Kyiv just minutes after air raid sirens were sounded, the Ukrainian capital was likely attacked by Iskander-M or Kn-23 ballistic missiles. North Korea previously supplied Russia with an undetermined number of Kn-23 missiles.
